Keitele Forest Group is now Keitele Group
Keitele Forest Group is streamlining its structure and will operate under the name Keitele Group as of September 1, 2025. This change does not affect the ownership of Keitele Group or any agreements with the Keitele Group’s customers, suppliers, or personnel.
The business operations of Keitele Forest Oy, which include wood procurement, forest operations, and group-level functions, have been transferred to Keitele Group Oy through a business transfer effective September 1, 2025. Keitele Group Oy is the parent company of the wood processing group. Keitele Group will continue to be a family-owned company owned by Matti and Mikko Kylävainio. They will continue in operational roles: Matti as the business director responsible for forestry and sawmill operations, and Mikko as the business director responsible for wood products.
As part of the restructuring, the industrial wood processing operations have been consolidated under a single company. Keitele Wood Products Oy, which manufactures wood products, and Keitele Energy Oy, the energy company, have merged into the current sawmill company Keitele Timber Oy, which will be renamed Keitele Wood Oy as of September 1, 2025.
“The previous group structure has evolved gradually over a long period of time alongside business growth. The key objective of this reform is to clarify the group’s structure. Consolidating industrial operations into one company will better support the development of our business, which is strongly based on customer orientation,” says Mikko Kylävainio.
The restructuring will not affect existing agreements with customers, suppliers, or personnel.
